Physician Recruitment

Niagara is currently recruiting for family physicians and the Niagara region encompasses a diverse range of practice opportunities. Within the two hospital systems, Niagara Health and West Lincoln Memorial, practices range from office only urban settings to office plus inpatient, surgical assists, emergency or obstetrics.  Niagara is home to the Niagara Campus of McMaster University DeGroote School of Medicine and offers a variety of teaching opportunities. It is our goal to find the ideal practice setting for physicians and provide you with the resources for a successful career in medicine.

The Niagara Physician Recruitment & Retention Program assists with:

  • Identifying practice opportunities through collaborative efforts with municipalities and physician leads
  • Representing Niagara at medical schools and a career fair within Niagara, Ontario and Canada
  • Recruitment Liaison with the DeGroote School of Medicine, Niagara Campus
  • Coordination of clinic and community tours based on practice and lifestyle preferences
  • Transitioning family physicians into communities
  • Managing the Family Medicine Locum Program for Niagara
