Francis and Neville, both retired after successful careers, have been friends for more than 20 years. Thanks to the City of Welland and the Niagara Foreign Trade Zone, they are now also business partners.
Their company, Niagara Holdings, is building a state of the art, 20,000 square foot food production facility that specializes in an exciting new way to grow leafy greens. This is the first facility of its kind anywhere in the world and it will be headquartered in Welland, Ontario. North Americans will soon be eating a lot more organic lettuce and other leafy greens that are grown in Niagara Canada.
They were first attracted to the Niagara region because of the many benefits offered through the Niagara Foreign Trade Zone But they knew they found their home after they were embraced with open arms by the Mayor of Welland. The pair agrees that Niagara is a hidden gem when it comes to starting a business and are excited about the enormous growth potential.
If you have a business idea that you want to grow, perhaps its time to consider Niagara Canada.
